A VEILED EDEN

What kind of garden
Would I have,
If I covered all the flowers
Up like furniture?

Would you think
It's still beautiful?

And for me to cover their eyes
From greeting the Sun,

Would you think I was terrible?

If I put gloves over their petals
And made them all look the same,
Like scarecrows -
Or crows that look scared -

Would God be happy with me,
For covering all that he created beautiful?
