I wish I could
Kiss your eyes
Until you fall
Asleep.
And I wish I could
Reverse all your tears
Whenever you should
Call and
Weep.
I wish I could
Hold you up high
Whenever and wherever
You wish to fly,
And I wish I could
Be the One -
To melt with you and hold
Each night.
I wish I had jumped
At the chance,
For a cosmic dance
Into an interstellar
Romance,
But at that moment -
It just did not
Seem right.
And now I wonder,
What could have been,
If I had only
Let our love -
Take
