The day Truth
Went away,
Is the exact date
The granddaughter
Of Ay
Came
And claimed
She was pregnant
From a man
With no name.
She said he came to her in
A vision of light -
And since that one night
Was never to be seen
Or heard from
Ever again.
Her family did not believe her
And locked her away in shame.
They threatened to destroy
Her and the child
If she did not
Reveal her lover’s name.
After 7 months of silence,
Nefer started screaming
And wailing in pain.
Her nervous parents came to
Seize the newborn boy
Before
The Kingdom of Amun -
Heard of her
Most outrageous claim.
Nefertiti bore a son
Called Tutankhamun,
Who arrived in the middle of
Noon of evil's rule.
And since he was created out of
Wedlock, he was handed to her
Aunt the Queen Tiye
To name, mother
And school.
Poor Nefertiti lost herself
In her Nay playing
For days
Songs only her sad soul
Could fuel,
And the longer the boy stayed
In Tiye's room,
The louder was his crying
To be returned
To his natural womb.
Echoes of the boy's persistent cries
Pierced like ice
Between the eyes -
And throughout
The Temples -
Sending a wreckless King
Huffing and fussing
Over the fragile, young
And helpless.
So Tiye sent a hurried word
Through the palace's majestic falcon -
And Nefertiti was summoned to tone
Down the baby's relentless
Shouting and yelping.

Peace was instilled back to Thebes
As with every ancient story.
But this one marked the beginning
Of a new cycle in the
Rise
Of Illum-ination
In all its hopeful glory.
